A conceptual digital experience for the radio show Today” by Paris Mexis. Inspired by small things that are omnipresent: a walk in the sun, the sky, flowers, acting as tiny sources of appreciation, positivity, and beauty within the mundaneness and struggles of every day.

“Today” is a show determined to convince you not to put off until tomorrow what can be done today. By accepting the unexpected surprises of each day, it presents a wonderful blend of music from the entire spectrum of human creation, emphasizing creators, their stories, and their connection with the present. The show focuses on ephemerality, as each episode is only available for four days after its release. It is mean to be a live, shared experience.

A walk in the sun, the sky, flowers: small things that are omnipresent, acting as tiny sources of appreciation, positivity, and beauty within the mundaneness or the struggles of everyday.

A unique flower represents each episode. Simple yet meaningful: it sprouts and blooms within the duration of each episode, as a way to enhance the ephemeral of the experience and appreciate the ephemerality of life. At the same time two main gradients representing the day and the dawn/dusk shift between each other based in the real time of day the user accesses the website as an additional way to connect the experience with the present moment.

Agrandir by Pangram Pangram was selected as a versatile contemporary sans serif “that celebrates the beauty of being imperfect,” just like the daily imperfections the show calls us to embrace. The width variability draws consistently attention enabling the highlighting of design features. “It celebrates humanity, not machines.”
